About Dr. Lina Olvera, MD
My name is Lina Miroslava Hernández Olvera, and I am a 30-year-old medical doctor.
What I enjoy most about my career is making a positive difference in people’s lives. Using my knowledge and skills to help someone in their time of need and ensuring they and their loved ones receive the best possible care is deeply fulfilling for me.
My work experience began in 2018 during my social service. I spent four months in an urban clinic providing primary care to a diverse population, from children to seniors, addressing general ailments, chronic-degenerative diseases, child care, prenatal care, and preventive measures. For the subsequent eight months, I was in charge of a rural clinic, where I was the sole physician in the community.
Most recently, I have been working at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS) since early 2021. Initially, I focused primarily on COVID-19, rotating between the ER and hospitalized patient follow-ups. As the number of cases decreased, I transitioned to roles in ER first-contact consultations and family medicine. Both positions presented unique challenges, but I adapted quickly and met all required goals.
I am always looking to grow and evolve in my career. After some time, I realized I wanted new and different challenges.
